Media Coverage
Jim Algie of the Sun Times managed to convert my ramblings into a fantastic article in today's paper: Tech conference examines unique local issues; information highway much slower here, and that gives us some unique problems. Jim starts us off with a fantastic mental image and moves on from there... "In the world of the information highway, parts of Grey and Bruce are still puttering down two-lane country roads."
And in other news, Lynda the Pheasant Keeper (and Information Architect), makes the decision to come to HICK Tech instead of dealing with the hassle of travelling to the US for a conference. Very cool, thanks Lynda!

HICK Tech is very pleased to announce The Owen Sound Sun Times as the Keynote Presentation Sponsor.

Confirming the Sessions
The matrix is almost full! Thank you to everyone who has submitted their own workshop proposal (and thank you to those who have volunteered someone else's name). I'm still trying to nail down a few more proposals under the Education and Health content streams. If you have a topic that you would like to see presented, please LET ME KNOW and I will do my best to make it happen!
I've had a request for a session on home and small business Internet security. If this is something you know about, and are interested in some cashmoney, a free ticket to the workshops and a free lunch on Tuesday May 1, please LET ME KNOW.
Thanks to everyone for your interest and enthusiasm to date. The proposals are top-notch and I'm really looking forward to figuring out how I'm going to be in four rooms simultaneously during the conference.
Now go visit our Business content stream sponsor TheOwen.com. Their site launched today and it needs your input. (Be sure to listen to the interview between Ryan and Shane on civic engagement. Very interesting, very tangible. Very good.)
