Office Ergonomics: Preventing Technology-Related Injuries

As people utilize technological equipment for long stretches of time, they put themselves at risk of developing work-related repetitive strain injuries. Knowing this led Dr. Plantz to create and present office ergonomics seminars to area businesses and organizations.
From the proper chair, to the correct placement of a mouse pad, Dr. Plantz touches on the basics of office equipment. Attendants learn how different techniques and equipment can make the office safer and more functional. The result is increased employee productivity and less time off work due to occupational injuries.

Technology is always evolving and Personal Digital Assistants, like the popular BlackBerry, are part of the growing industry. People are spending so much time using them that they are developing repetitive strain injuries to the thumb, wrist and arm. Dr. Plantz will discuss alternatives to PDAs and what you can do to reduce your risk of developing an injury.

Peak Performance Chiropractic Clinic, a multi-disciplinary health care facility in Walkerton, is home to chiropractor Dr. Jill Plantz.

Testimonials

Emma Jane worked with me on a dramatically ambitious Drupal project a couple of years ago. She managed to keep my overactive imagination in check so we focused on realistic goals and milestones, all the while making me feel like I could get my hands dirty in the project. She was timely, proficient, and a joy to work with.
