Business Showcase: Bar 5 Stock Farms, Ltd.
Bar 5 was established in 1969, by a group of 5 Manitoba ranchers. In the fall of 2001, Bar 5 moved to Markdale, Ontario; 2,000 kms to the east. The operation specialises in a number of aspects of bovine breeding including both commercial stock production and Elite stock production. Bar 5 has developed and implemented a three prong selection policy and has committed themselves to a disciplined program of: 1. Genetic Ancestry, 2. Physical assessment, 3. Genetic Evaluations.
