Showcase: The Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library

The next generation of library service is coming to your local library. Advances in information technology and the Internet are enabling smaller local libraries to deliver services, programs and even collections that rival their big city counterparts.

The traditional library still remains, but even within the walls of the library things are changing. In addition to books and magazines, libraries now include CDs, DVDs, ebooks, microfilms, and videos. Libraries are also reaching out beyond their walls. As libraries continue to embrace the Internet and other emerging technologies, patrons are able to access library programs, services and collections wherever there is Internet access.

Come discover how your local library connects you to global knowledge!

Presenter: Richard Sulkers (Deputy Chief Librarian, Owen Sound & North Grey Union Public Library)

Testimonials

Emma Jane worked with me on a dramatically ambitious Drupal project a couple of years ago. She managed to keep my overactive imagination in check so we focused on realistic goals and milestones, all the while making me feel like I could get my hands dirty in the project. She was timely, proficient, and a joy to work with.
